Fatigue & Damage Tolerance for Aerospace Engineers

Airworthiness authorities (EASA, FAA) have very strict regulations on certification of aircraft. These regulations include fatigue & damage tolerance (F&DT). In this training you will learn about design and safety concepts in aerospace and how they evolved into the current regulations on fatigue & damage tolerance. The regulations and the corresponding means of compliance will be explained and it will be told how to comply to the regulations. The continued airworthiness part of the training will tell you more about F&DT related maintenance aspects and about repair and modifications.
Fatigue initiation and crack growth itself will not be explained in this training, the course is restricted to application in combination with regulations.
